I wipe mine down with RIG and a Sheep Skin wipe anytime I handle (fondle)one. After a range session I totally clean them.My hunting rifles get a good cleaning after the season ends. It's wiped down after the days hunt. For the few seconds it takes to wipe one down, I see no point taking the chance of it rusting.I've used RIG and a sheep skin for as long as I can remember. It's always proven to me that it's works and works well.

Always wipe them down at the end of the day if I've been shooting. Have to clean the Sharps everytime I shoot her if I've ran blackpowder through her. When shooting smokeless I don't, just wipe her down.

If touched, or shot...........they will be cleaned same day.......ASAP..........
If in storage in the gun safe.........then about once to twice a week or whenever i want to "fondle" them..........
Thanks God its legal to fondle one's own guns..............if not i'd be in jail a long time ago.....
It's not what you shoot .............................but how

I try to clean them at least once a yr. or if they get soaked while huntin in the rain. If I'm workin on a handload using Barnes XLC and X bullets I'll get the copper out of barrel.

After they get used. For some, it's monthly, others are every few months.

Usually as I think they require it, could be on the day or might be left a while

I oil my guns whenever I shoot them or handle them. If i dont shoot my guns while im hunting I will usually wait til the end of the week before I clean it. Or if its raining when im hunting ill clean it as soon as I get home. Or if I get "Buck Jam" all over it (lol) ill clean it as soon as I get home.
