Do you break in your barrel? If so, what procedure do you use?
Or do you think it's a waste of time?

When I get a new gun, before shooting it I give it a total cleaning. Then I shoot it letting it cool between shots. When I get back home I give it a good cleaning again.Other then that I don't do anything special.

The way I look at it. It's going to get broken in after you shoot it awhile anyway. On the Browning site I believe it's under FAQ's there is something about Barrel break in.I'm not one to shoot a hundred rounds a day through my rifle. It's real lucky to get a couple boxes a year through it.I hear it from BP shooters that they season their barrels. There again I shoot and clean them other then that I don't do anything special.I would think after 30+ years of guns if I were doing something wrong it would have showed up by now. That's just my opinion and you can take it for that.
