Nice gun Danny, Kimber is very proud of them. I saw a Kimber model ? at BassPro. It was a compac.1100.00. Man I could buy a couple Rugers for that LOL.I've never shot a Kimber. They must be good from all the reports I've heard. Yours included.

Thanks Ruger and 243. It doesn't look that pretty any more. Kydex holsters cause wear!! It's one of their custom shop models, complete with meltdown treatment and everything. It was right around $1,039.00 before tax back in the fall of 2000 when I bought it. I think that alone has prevented me from selling it a time or two. They stopped making it that year (actually, they just just reversed the black and silver coloring and renamed them CDP). It's got the sweetest trigger I've ever felt and will easily group inside 2 inches at 15 yards.
One of these days, I'm going to have the slide re-done in a harder black coating.

Here's a pick of the Pro CDP that replaced my gun. Only difference is they swapped finishes, making the frame black, and the slide silver. Note the melt job they did. There's hardly any sharp edges at all. The following two are actual guns I owned, but never shot before having to sell them. The second one is the Ultra CDP (itty bitty .45) and the Custom Eclipse. Now that was a pretty gun, and even this pic doesn't do it justice. I wish I still had all three. But I'm glad I kept the one I was used to, and knew without a doubt it was reliable.
