This is a mountain lion that my buddy Chad shot on the Gill’s ranch in Mentone where we mule deer hunt on 12/10/05. This female weighed 72lbs and from tip of nose to tip of tail was 6’2” long! Once in a lifetime kill! We used a quarter to give an idea of how big the fang teeth were. The ironic thing is that i was supposed to be out there in that spot but had to work! He had only shot three times with his new savage .243, one miss at a rabbit, one hit on a rabbit, and 0ne hit on a MOUNTAIN LION! Never shot any big game before his whole life! Why does it always happen like that? I'm proud for him! He is getting it full body mounted! He shot it at 100 yards in the neck with no exit! Perfect for the taxidermist. Enjoy the pics. ;D SORRY GUYS GOT SOME NEW INFO ON THE CAT: THE TAXIDERMIST FOUND THE BULLET LODGED IN THE OPPOSITE ELBOW. ALSO FOUND TWO HIDDEN THINGS THAT HADN'T FALLEN YET TO MAKE HIM A MALE. :PMY BUDDY WON'T EVER LIVE THAT GENDER ID DOWN! ;D
