I don't go anywhere without one. Mines the Bushnell Yardage Pro 1000, no complaints to speak of. Other than it won't pickup the advertized 1000 yds., they claim the conditions have to be perfect. Up to 800yds. it's fine, have had a handful of 900 readings but rare. If I ever get another it will probably be the Leica 1200. Have heard good reports about them. Shooting the ole Sharps I have to have one and have to know exactly what range I'm shooting at. Anything over 800 I have to take 2 readings. My farthest target is 1486yds., to get that I went to my 750yd. target and ranged again. A pain in the a$$. Course that was just a one time deal, from then on I knew it. Anyway, that's my only gripe. The Pro 1000 or the Leica 1200 ought to do ya fine for any shooting you'll be doing. My opinion.

I have a set of the Leica rangefinders. I use them when I'm going to sit at a ground stand. I range all the trees and the large rocks. When game appears I know how far away it is so I can compensate for bullet drop. They are excellent and I do get consistant ranges beyond 1000 yds.

I've got the Nikon 800 camo. I think it was around 299.00 when I bought it. Small but very effective. I love it.
I had one of the first Bushnell 400 yarders that came out. That thing was big, and not easy to use. Glad I got rid of it.

Last week a couple of us took a half day off to go to BassPro for their Fall Whitetail Classic.I went ahead and bought a Bushnell Pro 450 Sport. It was 134.88. I never used one before.I might use my crossbow some this year and thought the range finder might come in handy.I doubt I'll use it for rifle hunting. Most of my shots are under 200 yards.A few days before I received a email flyer from Natchez.BP's price was better then Natchez's. I know it's not the top of the line rangefinder. It should sever my purposes good enough.
