I would like to hear suggestions too. They could come in handy.I've thrown the idea around for awhile. Don't really think I need one.It would make me sick knowing a trophy was by my stand at 2:00AM and I can't be there legally.LOL.

Yeah they wopuld be nice. It would be handy to know if your deer are comeing in a certain area at certain times so you wouldn't kill a day waiting on them

The other day I saw an ad for a trail camera. This one has a digital camera with a rechargeable battery. No need to spend extra money having the film delveloped.I wish I could remember where I saw the ad.If I were to buy one this would be the way to go.Being it's a new product the price would probably be outrageous. Wait awhile and prices will come down most likely. Ruger Redhawk

Build your own digital for a fraction of the cost of a commercial camera. Most "Homebrew" Cameras actually offer better quality pics than the commercial ones, because you can choose a higher quality camera to build it with. (higher megapixel cams) There is a website that I frequent, that offers a wealth of information on how to build your own digital or 35mm Game camera. It's called Jesses Hunting and OutdoorsCheck out the Game Cam Forum! www.jesseshunting.com/forums/index.php?showforum=50

Here is the Leaf River trail Cam I have just ordered from Cabelas.... Leaf River Digital Trail Scan™ Scouting Camera with Viewing Screen No more suspenseful waits - this digital scouting camera gives you instant picture display on a 1.6" LCD screen. The display screen has a 1X to 4X digital zoom and gives you the option to delete unwanted pictures immediately. Select low, medium or high resolution settings: low is 1.3 megapixel, medium is 2.1 megapixel and high gives you a possible 4-megapixel resolution with the use of software interpolation. Internal memory stores up to 50 still pictures, and you can even choose to record three or 90-second video clips. Unit also records date and time of 300 events. Infrared motion-detection system has a sensitivity adjustment. Can be set to take one, two or three pictures before entering adjustable pause setting (1-60 minutes). Oversized flash for increased nighttime range. Day, night or 24-hour operation. Pictures are displayed with date and time. The housing is gasket-sealed and includes a steel mounting bracket and steel bar for mounting and securing the unit. Battery-strength icons help you keep track of battery life.
