I go to Army/Navy Surplus and buy Expedition Weight Polypropalene pants and shirt. I never get cold with them on. In bitter cold, I have bibs and coat with gore-tex and thinsulate. In rain, I have a 10X gore-tex lined pants and coat.
So I'm pretty well set for cold weather. Now I just have to make sure I don't "outgrow" any of it!!!

In South Ga it doesn't get that unGodly cold. When it does I wear either a pair of Long Handle underwear or a pair of camo sweat pants. Then I have insulated bibs. I'll wear a heavy camo shirt, and a heavy hunting jacket.I have insulated gloves and boots which are Rocky BearClaws with 1000 grams of Thinsulate. Along with the boots I'll wear a pair or two of a Wool Blended socks. I have a woolen face mask which doen't stay on long.

Or then again I might wear some wool socks, silk drawers and shirt, long sleeved t-shirt, flannel shirt, hoodie, goretex coat. I might not start out with all this on. It depends on how far the blind is, or how far back in the timber we're going to hunt.

I like the military polypro's too. I will also wear the USGI chemical suits. They're cozy on cold days.

Long Underwear, Cotton Long Sleeve Camo Tee, Polar Fleece Pullover, Cabela's Late Season Camo Cover-Alls. This keeps me warm as long as the Wind does not blow too hard ! If it does I add a Wind Stopper Jacket and remove the Fleece !
