I never have. But I'm going to. Have a standing invitation to go to South Dakota to hunt 'em anytime. My wife's parents and brothers live up there.

Absolutely love it, nothing gets your hear going like a rooster bustin out and cackleing the whole way. For a big bird, they move fast and can be hard to hit

They are also hard to bring down, unless snow is on the ground and I could track the bird I lost many cocks to not having a 3 inch mag chambering in my 12 gauge Fox Model B, but that was in Kansas, here in Bama they are pen raised and not like hunting the wild birds! Also every once in a while in a corn field a fat Prarie Chicken would fly in to feed, also another tough bird, but both were the best bird's I have ever eaten! I miss it alot!

I made a trip to South Dakota a few years ago in the winter time and you would not believe the road killed pheasants along the sides of the roads! They were everywhere. My wife says (she's from up there) that they are the dumbest birds she's ever seen.
