Well this morning went to Salt Lake WMA after originally wasn't cause of storms. I set up where a buddy of mine told me he saw 13 birds two days ago scouting. I put the Deke where it could be seen from the private property as well. I was at the farthest SW corner of the property by the gate. It was 6:45 and the winds picked up and thunder was a rolling. I been using my Prairie Game Calls glass call which sounds awesome by the way. When I said to myself I bet with the wind they can't here me. So I took out my single sided poplar box that Larry made me and hit that with some loud yelps and then I made a cutting series and I hear from to my right a Gobble Gobble Gobble and I look down the road and can't see anything still. I then hit the box again and see what I think are some turkeys strutting as it looked like they were all fanned up. Well I see them two big boys trotting towards me they see the deke now for sure. Well I am sitting their and they stop 20 yards to my right where I can't swing on them. I just didn't make eye contact when they walked 10 feet in front of me. They walked up to my Deke and I know they said they were drivered now they just had that look OH NO! Well the one closet to me now on my left (30 yards) caught some Nitros on the back of his gord and the flop happened His brother flew off to private property all I can say he was lucky it's one bird a day or they both might have died. Here is a few pics his stats are 16 lbs Beard 9 7/8 left spur 1 1/4 right spur 1 3/8
