Mine was good and bad..wanted to take a public land Osceola with my muzzleloader side lock shotgun..and did that..but got cut off too many times by other hunters and the woods were just over-run with people this yr. Two wks. after the season started birds would gobble off the roost but go quiet soon as they hit the ground.

My favorite kind of bird! Those "silent Dudes" will have the woods cleared out by 9:00 and then the real Turkey wars begin. remember that anyone can work a gobbling bird; but those "silent-sneakers" are still out there and if given a chance, will "sneak" into your set-up. For every bird that gobbles, how many stay silent? Those are the birds without hens and the ones that will come to the call. Purrs, Clucks and soft yelps work best for me....
