I was talking to my boss today about me taking my son squirrel hunting this past Saturday and getting skunked by the little buggers. He told me, when he use to hunt squirrel he would use, what he called a squirrel whistle. He told me it would make a sound similar to a squirrel distress cry. He would blow on this whistle and shake a bush beside him, the squirrel would come out of the nest and he would pick it off. I haven't seen one of these, much less heard of one 'til today. Has anybody heard of these and were would be a good place to start looking for one? I've already checked Cabela's, getting ready to go check Bass Pro Shops.
Later,
Dave

I picked up a Primos Squirrel Buster call the other day. It's pretty easy to use. I was able to get one to "talk" back to me today, but I wasn't able to pinpoint the tree rat's location My son had a good time using the call. He was working that call so hard, you would of thought there was two squirrels fighting to the death! We came home empty handed again, but we did see a ton of bear sign and four jakes crossing the road has we were leaving the gameland. I still say we had a good hunt, even if we didn't get any tree rats! Later, Dave
