Maybe i should have said Jackrabbits! They are the size of deer down here and very abundant!!! ;D

Oh yeah, that's better. You think you have them big? You shoulda seen the ones in North Dakota when I was stationed up there. I shot one 10 times with a .22 magnum before it finally died. Of course, it was ruined.
I used a .243 on them from then on.

I thought everything was bigger in Texas!!!LMAO down here you usually have to shoot them 10 times with 22lr! i use a .22 mag most of the time and one shot is usually all it takes! I like to take my .243 out before deer season starts to get a little practice! If you can hit a rabbit then you can tag the vitals of a deer!!!
I've heard a lot of hipe on the 17 hmr and was just wondering if it is worth it or should i just stick with ol faithful .22 mag?

Always use a new gun!!!!! first on priorities is probably going to be a 7mm mag! that ought to take care of those monster jacks! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've shot one. It was a Savage (can't remember the model). That is one nice little round. Ammo is a bite pricey.
