I shot this old boar a couple of year back, I decided to recover the projectile from where I had shot him though the shoulder, I found the cutting a bit hard to get though if you see in the photo the protection in the shoulder area had been pretty thick it is well over 1inch of hard gristle, something to think about if your under gunned or real long shots and bow hunters. This can sometimes be the reason they just don,t fall over like they should, also after that gristle you still have to get though the rib cage. BHT mention about this in his boar hunting tips number 9 Sorry the photo of the piece of skin I used a ruler that is metric anyway it is still well over the inch

Thanks for the photo tip Steve. That's quite am impressive body armor that they tote around. I see that "Down Under", it's so hot God even gave them hats to keep the sun off their head.
