1976 if I recall correctly. A 10pt. Oklahoma deer, (same location I'd shot my first as a kid in 1970). Had bought a .58 Hawken that I was dying to drop a deer with. In Kansas at that time you couldn't just buy a tag over the counter, drew for it and then you were lucky to get one. Sooo, crossed the line into Oklahoma and bought one, a whole lot handier. Nowadays Kansas sells them OTC. Best move they ever made!

My brother-in-law got his first muzzleloading deer last year, a doe, neck shot at 15yds., dropped like lightning had struck it.

I've shot a few over the last few seasons. My first with a muzzleloader was about 4 years ago.To be honest I remember, it was a buck but can't remember what it was.I hit him with my T/C Renegade with a 54 Maxi Ball over 120 grains of 3Fg.He dropped where he stood. Can't imagine why?
