The first compound I ever bought was an Indian Stalker. Now mind you this was in 1976 so I don't know what they are like now if they're still manufactored. This 76 model didn't have a bow string it was all one continuous cable. Talk about taking away the ability to use a peep sight. This limbs on this bow split length ways the first day I had it while I was drawing it and gave me a biggo fat lip with my own back hand. Needless to say it went back to the sporting good store.

Was this bow made by Indian Archery, or later known as XI? If so, they were made about 15 miles from my house, but I still don't know a thing about the stalker.

I killed my first deer with a Indian Stalker. I was 10 yrs old when I was hunting with it. I think I paid around $80 for it new and it came with the quiver, sights and field tips. My opinion on this bow is that it would make a great youth bow, womans bow or a good starter bow to use to see if your gonna like archery hunting. I sold mine for $50 and my friends son killed two deer with it his first year bowhunting. i wouldnt put a lot of $$ into it with acceseries (think I spelled that right) and such though. I dont htink you went wrong for $50 though.
