I don't disagree with RR very often, but I just hated the 10/22 Target model I had. I had the brown colored laminated stock, stainless bull barrel one. That thing stunk. The trigger felt like it broke cleanly, at 15 pounds!!!! And it rattled. You could grab the trigger guard and rattle it around. Plus, it wouldn't group (which may have been the result of such a bad trigger). Keep in mind that is supposedly one of the features of that model, a target trigger. I sent it back and two months later, finally get it back. Trigger group was tight, pull was a little better, but didn't feel like it was a "target trigger" which is what part of the cost of the rifle is. And it still wouldn't group very good.
I had a Marlin model 60 that would shoot rings around it, and it held 13 rounds in it's tube. Plus I think I paid only $125.00 for it (stainless/synthetic with a cheap Simmons scope already mounted by the dealer).

Danny you're entitled to disagree.LOL. I'm a big boy and can handle it.I'm surprised to hear about your 10/22.Honestly you're one of the very few complaints I ever heard about them.I wish I had known when you had it.I could have given you the same information I gave to Backstrap on this forum.Di@k Beaulieu would have made it right. On another forum about Ruger's lately there has been some complaints about Ruger's QC.Not sure the reasons why. They make them good but I'm sure you're like me. I hate to buy something and have to return it for minor defects.I bought two of the Ruger 40th Anniversary 10/22's. Consecutive numbers. These will never be fired. When I worked many years ago at a gun shop we saw allot of these Glenfield (Marlin) Model 60's come in with severe jamming problems. I'm sure that's been corrected in later productions. Then the Remington 597's are like the rest of Remington's semi auto's. They didn't get the name Jam-Masters for nothing.
