Thats a nice looking rifle it looks like it should shoot some real tight groups and do the job well for the purpose that you built it

It does about 1.5MOA at 100 yards, .75MOA at 600, and 1.25MOA at 1000. Since it was built for 600/1000 yard F-Class competition, I'm pleased with that. It's shooting the 139gr Lapua Scenar bullets at a MV of 2970fps. Uses 27MOA of elevation at 1000.

That is a nice looking rifle How long did it take to build it up? Are you using factory loaded ammo or reloads? Later, Dave

Once all the parts were on hand, the actual assembly took a couple hours. The barrel took about 15 minutes to install and headspace. The stock had to be opened just a little in the trigger area and then I bedded it. I had to put a small bit of bedding compound on the base and torque everything. The stock was done the weekend before and that also took a few hours since I was painting several coats and then clear coating. I'm handloading for it. It's a 6.5-284 and I'm using 139gr Lapua Scenars, 59.6gr Ramshot Magnum powder, CCI BR2 primers, and Norma brass. Here's the Project 2005 intro: www.savageshooters.com/Articles/2005_Intro.html

You oughta join that PA. 1000yd. club. Their top boys usually shoot around 8-9 inches at that range.

I shoot 600 and 1000 yards in Pascagoula, MS. I would like to shoot other ranges but PA is a little further than I can afford to drive.

There are 2 custom tactical rifles, some rifles built on Rem700 actions and one Winchester action. None of the rifles are stock naturally.
It was a nice day. Not much wind but It did pick up later, about 60* and low humidity.
